Columns dig into your spine,
fuse on your skin like sweat.
Sensation fast as a metro,
is a ticket tossed away.
The clock stops and unwinds,
like sipping sweet cherry cola.
Desire drips like paint,
"Surivive? Perish? No matter."
Until it is a faultless suitor,
your only suitor.
Clumps of dried brown weep,
but you blindfold yourself.
A long skyline of beasts,
illuminate hungry mortality.
Bitterness runs a race,
overpowering your vision.
Slip ungracefully as a cokerel,
but you are not winged.
Gravity is not your father,
this new world is fatherless.
